Special Needs

Although our music classes are safe and supportive communities open to all families, some parents of children with special needs might prefer a Music Together® class with the same songs, chants and instrumental play but in a smaller group setting.

The Supportive Family Class provides more attention from the teacher—also a parent of a child with special needs—who will have training and support from Music Together LLC to work with families to create positive, meaningful, and enriching musical experiences with their children.

Here is a video of a mother of a child with autism who raves about the Music Together program and how her son discovered a love of music from his classes: Interview with Bette Jo Smith, Educator and Katzenbach Parent.

Parent Support

There are many benefits for parents to participate in regular classes with others who are part of the same community—building bonds, understanding and support, and just having a great time without the cares of the outside world.
